Movement
Learning happens when children move, explore, and play!
Our movement experiences give children opportunities to build strength, coordination, balance, and confidence while having fun. Through dancing, active games, stretching, and age-appropriate physical activities, children develop important motor skills while learning how to move their bodies safely and confidently.
At Divine Childcare Center, we believe active children are happy learners!
Music
Sing it. Move to it. Make it!
Music brings joy and learning together. Children explore songs, rhythm, instruments, movement, and musical patterns while developing listening skills, language, memory, coordination, and self-expression.
From singing together to discovering new sounds, music gives every child an opportunity to participate, express themselves, and build confidence.
Every day is an opportunity to make a little music!
Art
Every child has a creative side waiting to shine.
Our art experiences encourage children to explore colors, textures, shapes, materials, and different ways of expressing their ideas. Painting, drawing, cutting, creating, and experimenting help strengthen fine-motor skills while encouraging imagination, creativity, and confidence.
We celebrate the process—not perfection—because there is no wrong way to be creative!
Mathematics
Math is everywhere—and learning it can be fun!
Children discover mathematics through hands-on experiences such as counting, sorting, comparing, measuring, recognizing shapes and patterns, building, and solving problems. Our teachers intentionally weave mathematical thinking into everyday play and classroom experiences.
Rather than simply memorizing numbers, children learn to think, reason, explore, and solve problems in meaningful ways. This approach is consistent with The Creative Curriculum’s emphasis on hands-on mathematical experiences and problem-solving.
Outdoor Play
Big adventures begin outside!
Outdoor play gives children the opportunity to explore, run, climb, discover, imagine, and learn about the world around them. Children develop physical skills, cooperation, independence, and problem-solving abilities while enjoying fresh air and active play.
Our outdoor experiences provide children with opportunities to learn through exploration while developing healthy, active habits.
